Limited Edition 1963 Heavy Relic Stratocaster by Fender
Black

Fender`s Custom Shop is a world of it`s own. It`s a place where legends of the time past come back to life, a place where dream and day unite. For the summer of 2012 Fender Custom Shop prepared a five-model limited edition and 1963 Heavy Relic Stratocaster is one of them. It comes with the iconic 1960s Stratocaster shaped body all beaten and bruised, worn, torn and played for ages. To complement this hardware is also heavily aged. Body is made of hand selected alder, for only the finest pieces of wood can be considered for Custom Shop Fenders. Black is the color of this Strat and it is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer. Tortoise shell pickguard is scratched and pretty beaten. Bridge on this model is a vintage styled synchronized tremolo with string-through construction. Pickups department gives away that this model is made after the '80s aftermarket Strats made in 1963, for the bridge position features a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbucker with coil splitting. Other two pickups are Texas Special single coils. Volume and tone knobs comprise the controls unit. Pickup switch is a five position blade. Neck is made of maple and it features oval C contour from the 1960s. Fingerboard on this neck is made of rosewood and it comes with 21 medium jumbo frets, 9.50" radius and 1.65" wide string nut. The MSRP for Limited Edition 1963 Heavy Relic Stratocaster is set at $7,000.
