Classic series is one of the most prominent and acclaimed vintage-oriented ranges in Fender`s catalog. It contains both the electric guitars and basses dedicated to certain decades and eras of Fender history. While the Classic series models aim at a certain age, they are not replicas of any particular guitar or bass from that period. Rather, they represent what would a model with the most popular and most sought after features of a certain period look and sound like. For 2015, Classic series is being reinforced with a pair of classy six-stringers and `50s Jazzmaster is one of them. Solid and flat Jazzmaster body of this new six-shooter is offered only in Surf Green with nitrocellulose gloss finish and combined nickel/chrome hardware. Also, the period correct plastic pickguard is found on the top. Classic two-piece bridge (adjust-o-matic in the front and the floating tremolo in the back) is a long-time fan favorite and is featured on this Classic (this bridge type has been around since the very beginnings of this iconic Fender rebel). American Vintage `65 Single-Coil Jazzmaster pickups are installed in front of the bridge duo. Period correct set of controls follows the over-sized pickups. Maple neck rocks the classic bolt-on joint and the C profile in the back and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Fender`s deluxe sealed tuners wrap the specs list.
