Classic is one of several series in Fender catalog with focus on vintage-styled guitars. This particular series pays homage to particular periods and models from Fender`s history. Period correct appointments and tone are the paramount priority for this series. The full concept is to offer the 21st century players the range of instruments which look and sound like it is 1950s and they have just rolled off the production line. For 2013 Musikmesse, Fender has introduced several Classic series models and Classic '50s Stratocaster Lacquer is one of them. It comes with a solid, double-cut body with classic 1950s contour. Body is made of alder and features no fancy decorations and unnecessary appointments. However, the legendary white plastic pickguard is still there, protecting the electronics department. Bridge is a vintage-styled tremolo with six adjustable saddles and chrome plating. Pickups compartment is a standard one for this series, as it features three Vintage Styled Single Coil pickups. Bridge pickup is slanted, as usual and the standard controls unit accompanies these pickups. Bolt-on maple neck has soft V contour in the back and a 21-fret maple fingerboard on top. Fender tuners, 7.25" radius and 25-1/2" scale complete the specs list.
