American Special Series ranks below the American Standard and Deluxe, it is the entry series into the American segment of the Fender`s catalog. It offers affordable, yet high quality guitars and basses. American Special Stratocaster HSS is a solid-bodied, double cut guitar with a body made of alder. This model comes with Strat standard 25-1/2" scale and it spans between the modern synchronized tremolo bridge and 1.6875" wide synthetic bone nut. In front of the chrome-plated bridge Fender installs a passive humbucker and two passive single coil pickups. Controls unit is a standard one. This model is available in Black and Three-Tone Sunburst with gloss finish. Maple neck is equipped with a C contour and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Fender tuners on the `70s headstock are plated in chrome.
