Deluxe series is one of the most important guitar and bass series of the entire Fender catalog. Its main role is to offer the players who cannot afford the American Deluxe/American Standard instruments a viable option of similar quality and characteristics. 2016 generation of the Deluxe series brings some significant changes and brings it even closer to the "American" side of the catalog. One of the main changes is transition to 22-fret fingerboards (most of the new Deluxe models have 22 frets). Other than that, Deluxe series models test drive some cutting edge technologies (iOS compatibility, Fishman/Fender hybrid electronics, etc).
2016 Deluxe Fishman Tripleplay Stratocaster HSS is the only model in the new Deluxe series` lineup with Fishman electronics and on-board preamp. The modern rocker, however, kicks off in a rather traditional fashion, as it rocks a standard double-cut alder body with a bolt-on maple neck attached at the front. 3-Color Sunburst variant also features a flamed maple top. The neck is equipped with the modern C profile in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (1.65" nut, 9.5" radius, medium jumbo frets). Seymour Duncan`s Pearly Gates humbucker with black coils and a duo of Vintage Noiseless Single-Coil Strat pickups form the conventional pickups unit (HSS arrangement). Fishman`s HEX pickup`s nestled between the modern synchronized trem bridge and the legendary SD humbucker and it`s connected to a dedicated preamp located in the back of the body, granting this mighty Strat an unprecedented level of versatility. Fender`s own sealed tuners and a traditional white pickguard complete the specs list.
