2012 American Vintage series lineup is completely renewed and refreshed with twelve brand new guitars. Five Stratrs, five Teles, one Jag and one Jazzmaster comprise the series. Four among them are left-handed, thus giving a variety for the left handed players to chose from. Also, this series features some of the most precise and historically accurate vintage guitars. It is as if Fender installed a miniature time machine on each of these guitars. 2012 American Vintage '65 Jaguar is one of those models and it comes in the recognizable vintage-styled outfit. Traditional features include 24" scale which is quite shorter than Strat`s, but makes for a tighter sound. Also, there is a vintage-styled tremolo bridge installed on this model. It differentiates from the Strat tremolo in that it has a separate adjust-o-matic bridge in the front with a tremolo plate in the back. Bar is mounted between the first and second strings. Body on this model is made of alder and it comes with a bolted neck joint. Pickups installed here are New American Vintage '65 Jaguar single coils in S/S pattern. Maser volume, master tone, two on/off sliders, rhythm circuit volume and tone and lead circuit volume and tone comprise the elaborate controls unit. Maple neck is equipped with a mid '60s C contour, much similar to the one featured on Strat and Tele models from the '60s. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 22 vintage frets, 7.25" radius, 1.65" radius and dot inlays complete the fingerboard.
