2012 edition of American Vintage series lineup brings some of the finest and most detailed replicas of Fender`s `50s and `60s iconic electric guitars. These models are made and designed with great care and passion for details, in order to give the player a sense of playing on a time machine, rather than a guitar. One of the several Stratocaster models featured in this incarnation of American Vintage is `59 Stratocaster, a remake of one of the most sought after guitars in the world. This model features historically accurate body made of alder. Color options include: 3-Color Sunburst with both maple and rosewood fingerboards, Black and Faded Sonic Blue. All are finished in gloss lacquer. Traditionally, there`s no binding or top wood veneer, only a vintage-styled white plastic pickguard to shield the electronics. Bridge is a vintage-styled synchronized tremolo with chrome plating, string-through-body construction and six adjustable saddles. Pickups installed on this beauty are made especially for this model - New American Vintage `59 Strat® single-coil pickups come in S/S/S configuration. Master volume, two tone knobs and a five-position blade switch comprise the classic Stratocaster controls unit. Maple neck is equipped with D-contour and bolt-on joint. Both maple and rosewood fingerboards feature 21 vintage frets, dot inlays, 7,25" radius and 1.65" wide bone nuts.
