Lars Frederiksen`s is the axe behind one of the most recognizable tones in history of rock and metal - the tone of Bay Area punk legends Rancid. In addition to his ground-breaking work with Rancid, Lars has also produced a multitude of important punk albums over the years. LTD Volsung is Lars`s first (and currently the only) ESP/LTD signature model. It is based on the popular Viper body style and features a beefy tone, interesting looks and thin body contour. All-mahogany body with beveled tops, three-piece mahogany neck with Thin U profile and 24-fret ebony fingerboard with XJ frets, make up the chassis. Danish Camo Satin is the only available color option. Major hardware and electronics options include a two-piece TOM/stoptail bridge, Lars`s own Seymour Duncan signature pickups and Gotoh tuners.
