James Hetfield is one of the most prominent frontmen in history of heavy metal. Mr Rhythm, as he is known, is arguably the tightest rhythm guitar player/lead vocalist out there. A bit lesser known fact is that James is a pretty good lead player, as well. His signature line with ESP is one of the longest running and most successful ESP signature series in company history. LTD Vulture is the latest addition to the series roster. It is an affordable option for all the fans of Metallica and Het`s awesome rhythm work. LTD Vulture kicks off with a Solid and beveled mahogany body and a set in mahogany neck.This type of chassis ensures a strong, resonant tone with a powerful low end and almost infinite sustain. Mahogany neck is a three-piece with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard on top. Fingerboard is equipped with a 1.65" molded nut, dot inlays (Vulture inlay at the 12th fret) and 12" radius. Over the years, James used mostly 81/60, 57/66, 81/85 sets from EMG. However, in recent years, his tone drifted a bit towards the dynamics of passive which shows in the EMG JH set featured on this model. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch complete the electronics. Two-piece bridge unit and locking LTD tuners round off a pretty impressive specs list.
