For 2015, ESP is rebooting the LTD-200 class of signature models. Kirk Hammett, Gus G, Tom Araya and Michael Paget series among the ones treated with the entry-level LTD signature models. Once popular and mighty, LTD-200 signatures were usually the first signature guitars bought by young and aspiring metalheads around the world. The new 200s aim to emulate the simplicity, big tone and reliability of the former 200s. LTD MP-200 for 2015 comes with pretty much the same specs list as its predecessor. Solid V-shaped body features a flat top, modern King V-influenced styling and bolt-on neck joint. It is made entirely of basswood and is paired with a maple neck (a standard combo which delivers a strong, well defined punch, very decent lows, clean highs and pronounced mids). MP-200 comes in black with a custom Michael Paget graphic behind the bridge (it is a lone tune-o-matic, same as n the previous MP-200). ESP Designed LH-301 humbuckers reprise their role on 2015 model. Along with them, ESP installs a standard MP controls unit - vol/vol/tone/3-way toggle switch. Slim and fast U-shaped neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. LTD tuners on the headstock wrap up the features and specs list.
