Though formed back in 1998, Unearth is still (almost 20 years after) at the fore front of American metalcore scene. Their catalog is currently six albums strong and they`ve received a significant mount of recognition beyond the metalcore circles. This especially goes for Unearth`s guitarists, Buz McGrath and Ken Susi, who are already being named as big influences among younger metal bands. Both Buz and Ken are ESP`s signature artists, with models in LTD catalog and their models are being heavily updated for 2016. Buz Mc Grath`s BUZ-7QM is a true metal beast. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder base and quilt maple top, and a through-body neck made of five pieces of maple and walnut. Fast and slim neck is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with offset dot inlays, 1.89" locking nut and 15.75" radius. Contrary to expectations, Buz went (so did Ken) for Fishman pickups this time. A pair of active Fishman Fluence pickups graces his new baritone-scaled seven-string. They`re ferocious, well balanced and have a mind-blowing sustain. Master volume and a three-way pickup switch are featured in the controls unit. Floyd Rose bridge and locking LTD tuners round off the specs list.
