Matt Heafy of Trivium is one of the most influential and prominent guitarists/singers of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal and is also one of the most promising young signature artists in Gibson/Epiphone catalog.
His Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom is his first six-string signature model with Gibson and Epiphone. It is your regular LP Custom, supercharged with a pair of EMG pickups. The body is, of course, made of mahogany back and maple veneer top. Add a slim taper mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard on top (22 medium jumbo frets, block inlays, 1.68" nut and 12" radius).
EMG`s 81 and 85 in bridge and neck, respectively, produce mighty, electrifying tone. Two-piece bridge unit and die-cast tulip tuners complete the specs list.
