Flying V Electric Guitars by Epiphone

Ltd Ed Korina Flying V by Epiphone
Antique Natural

Flying V has been around for almost 60 years, with first line hitting the market in the late 50`s. After the initial flop and a decade-long absence, V had returned in late 60`s and has been with us ever since. Early models, which featured korina bodies, are some of the most expensive vintage guitars in existence. 2016 Ltd Ed Korina Flying V is a part of a trio of Limited Edition Korina series, along with an Explorer guitar and Explorer bass. All models feature high quality hardware, carefully selected tonewoods and premium class Epiphone electronics. Ltd Ed Korina Flying V kicks off with a familiar flat-top body with two swept wings and a flat top. Entire body is made of korina, and to show the gorgeous natural grain of the wood Epiphone decided to make this V (and two Explorers, as well) only in Antique Natural. Black/white/black pickguard sits in its default place, contrasted by gold-plated pickup covers, pickup switch and bridge. Output jack plate, pickup rings and knobs are black. The neck on this magnificent V is also made of korina and it sports Gibson`s most popular profile - 1960s slim taper D contour. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard sits on its top (medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, 1-11/16" synthetic bone nut, 12" radius). Classic V headstock with Epiphone logo, six gold-plated tuners and black cover, is also there. Epiphone`s Alnico Classic pickups deliver the classic PAF-styled tone, with higher output and enhanced mids and highs. Other major features include a tune-o-matic bridge with V plate in the back, Epiphone`s own tuning machines and an adjustable truss rod.

I love this guitar, great tone, sound and feel, it crys the blues. Awesome finish too. I just wish it came with a case.
