This model made by Epiphone is a replica of Gibson`s 1956 Les Paul. It is as accurate as Epiphone limitations allow. For example, there`s no carved top and some of the fancy decorations are missing, but other than that, this one pretty much gives what it says it will. Solid, single-cut body is made of mahogany and it`s paired with a mahogany neck. Top side of the body is flat, bound in creme binding and covered with a white pickguard. Bridge section is a classic one, it features a tune-o-matic bridge with a stoptail bar in the back. Pair of P-90 pickups is installed in the front. Set mahogany neck is equipped with '50s contour, which is slightly bulkier than the slim taper and modern Gibson contours. On it`s top Epiphone installs a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
