The brand new Joe Pass Emperor II PRO is a fully hollow guitar based on Mr Pass`s own ES-175 he used throughout his professional career. In fact, all of the Epiphone Joe pass Emperor models were based on that legendary ES-175. The fully hollow and single-cut body of this beautiful vintage six-string is made of flamed maple and spruce. Both tonewoods are, of course, laminated. Laminated maple takes the back and sides, while the sound board spot is reserved for spruce. With both the back and top being arched and bound in multi-ply binding, this marvelous jazz box breathes with style and elegance. It comes in three distinct and classic color options - Natural, Wine Red and Vintage Sunburst. All three are finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and completed with gold-plated hardware. Spruce sound board features two vintage-styled "f" holes, classic contour, and an elevated black pickguard wit Epiphone logo on it. The adjustable rosewood bridge is backed with a trapezoid tailpiece and fronted with a pair of Epiphone`s own ProBucker pickups (ProBucker 3 in the bridge and ProBucker 2 in the neck position). They`re vintage sounding, but have the modern construction. Both volume pots have push/pull switches which transform the pickups into single-coils. Pair of regular tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch complete the controls. Neck is made of three pieces of hard maple, and features the 1960s slim taper C profile in the back. On its top, there is a bound rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. Block inlays, white binding and 1-11/16" wide NuBone nut complete the fingerboard. Modern Grover Rotomatic tuners with 18:01 gear ratio wrap the specs list for the magnificent Joe Pass Emperor II PRO.
