Epiphone is reviving this legend from the '70s and '80s and breathing a new life int it. Genesis Deluxe Pro will start out as a limited edition model. Since it has been over thirty years this model steeped down from the catalog roster, Epiphone is reintroducing it slowly. With the projected MSRP of $499 and included hardshell case, Genesis Deluxe Pro will be one of the best and strongest models in it`s price class. This one is a solid, double cutaway model with a body made of mahogany back and quilted maple top. Top panel is bound in a single-ply creme binding and carved. Pickguard is left out of the specs list. Bridge section contains a gold-plated tune-o-matic bridge with a stoptail bar in the back, which is also plated in gold. Pickups on this model include Burstbucker Pro 3 in the bridge and Burstbucker Pro 2 in the neck position. Controls include separate volume and tone knobs with a three-way toggle switch. Volume knobs also contain push/pull switches for coil splitting. Neck is made of mahogany and it sports a '60s slim taper D contour. It is glued in. Fingerboard is made of rosewood. 22 medium jumbo frets, 12" radius, pearl trapezoid inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut complete the fingerboard. Other features include: 24-3/4" scale, gold-plated hardware, Grover tuners.
