G-400 Custom by Epiphone
Antique Ivory

G-400 Custom is the top of the G-400 line of SG guitars made by Epiphone. It comes with some exclusive appointments, such as three active humbucking pickups. These pickups come from Gibson USA and are controlled with a standard SG controls unit, which consists of two volume and two tone knobs. Pickup switch is a three-way toggle pickup switch. Bridge section sports the standard tune-o-matic bridge in the front and a stoptail bar in the back. Both components are plated in gold on this model. Body is solid, double cut and made of solid mahogany. Antique Ivory is the only color scheme available for this model and it`s finished in gloss. Mahogany neck is set and equipped with a regular slim taper contour. 22-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood.

The G-400 is a great guitar which punches hard for it's current price. Good quality feel and tone. Gold plating wears away a bit but still looks good. Only criticism really is the selector set up. Thee way selector does not give feed from each humbucker on their own. Centre position gives all three. Bridge position gives bridge and centre. Neck position gives neck and centre. Best for flexibility is to turn centre volume control down and just use two pickups. Kind of defeats the object of having three. Great reliability and feel though. Trying to buy a new more expensive guitar and having trouble finding that special feel I get with the G- 400! Paddymonster

I have had several guitars .But this Epiphone is by far the best I have ever owned.I am able to play anything from raging metal to country to blues. This guitar has tones that can be adjusted to suit your needs. The playablity is right on.I will say that after buying this guitar I did have to set it up for my specs. But once I was done it was all magic..
