G-400 is one of the basic variants of the Epiphone`s SG line of electric guitars. It comes with a rather stripped down set of specs, primarily focusing on delivering decent build and tone quality. This one comes with a classic double-cut body. It`s thin, flat on the top and made of mahogany. It is only available in Cherry color scheme with gloss finish. Tune-o-matic and stoptail bar combo are a standard installment on SG models and on this one they`re equipped with chrome plating. Mahogany neck sports a set-in joint and slim contour in the back. It is topped with a regular 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Scale is 24-3/4" long and Epiphone installs a set of six chrome-plated tuners on the headstock.
