Explorer made it`s debut as Gibson`s guitar. It was first introduced in 1957 and went into production in 1958. This Epiphone is the replica of the very first production variant of the explorer and it is one of the most faithful recreations of the legendary Explorer. It comes with a solid body made of korina wood. It is flat and features no binding around the top. There`s only a classic white Explorer pickguard on the top. Glossy Ebony is the only color scheme available. Tune-o-matic bridge and the stoptail bar in it`s back are plated in gold. Two Alnico Classic pickups on this model are controlled with a standard Explorer set of knobs. Set mahogany neck has slim taper contour and it`s topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
