SG is one of the most iconic double-cut guitars ever. Soon after it`s release back in the 1960s it became one of the classics, together with Stratocaster, LP and Telecaster. Back in the day, it was Gibson`s ticket for the modern section of the market. Today, many manufacturers produce guitars based on the SG and DeArmond is one of them. DeArmond`s models cater to the beginners and inexperienced players and S-65 is their basic SG model. It comes with a solid and double-cut agathis body. 24-3/4" scale, 3+3 tuners arrangement, classic SG styling and active electronics belong to Gibson heritage. Two-piece bridge unit is installed on the top. Bolted nato neck is topped with a standard 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
