Z Chicago Flame is a model from the newly established Chicago series in Dean Guitars catalog. This series is a part of the entire Chicago segment launched at NAMM 2013. This segment pays due tribute to the models with which Dean Guitars kicked off. Those were ML, Z and V and the year was 1977. Vibe and looks of these original 1970s models are meticulously captured with new Chicago models. Z Chicago Flame is a solid, single-cut guitar with traditional Z contours and construction. Body of this model is made of mahogany back with flamed maple top. Gorgeous top is available in Classic Black, Trans Brazilia and Trans Cherryburst color schemes. All are finished in high gloss. Bridge section on this model is a simple one. It features only a tune-o-matic bridge with strings running through the body behind it. Pickups section is equipped with a pair of mighty DiMarzio humbuckers. Super Distortion pickups are found in both the bridge and neck positions. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it sports the standard V contour in the back. On it`s top, Dean installs a bound ebony fingerboard with 22 frets and abalone dot inlays. Tuners are Grover.
