Vendetta 1000 is one of upscale models from the highly acclaimed Vendetta series. Dean aims this series at metal and hard rock players who need an edge, who are searching for their own tone and style. Among the hundreds and hundreds of soloist/superstrat models out on the market, Vendettas rock true American styling and heavy tone. 1000 model is a solid-bodied six-stringer made of mahogany base and flame maple top. Top is carved and finished in high gloss. Bridge section on this Vendetta is equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge and matched with a locking nut installed on the fingerboard. DMT Design humbuckers are installed in front of the bridge. Bolted maple neck has C contour in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.

My Dean Vendetta 1000 has a setup of two humbucking pickups and I added a 3 single coil. It comes new with a Floyd Rose Special bridge and tremolo. It also has a 3 way toggle switch a push and pull coil knob and standard volume knob. It has 24 frets and a very thin like fretboard. Overall it is a very excellent guitar and I do recomend it to new guitar players. The guitar was set up real well brand new, but I had it for like a month now and within 2 weeks of me buying it, 2 strings popped but that is easily fixed as long as it is tuned right.There was'nt really any flaws with the guitar. I would use this guitar live without a backup. The Dean Vendetta 1000 is reasonably priced. I got it for 299.99 at Guitar Center. Apparently the list price I saw online was 700.00 even but if that is the right list price, you get one hell f a deal at Guitar Center. This guitar will defenitly not let you down. It is a great guitar and is a great experience for guitar players. I am very happy with this guitar. I love the finish which is scary cherry. It sounds beautiful and the Floyd Rose keeps it in tune. The only thing I hate is that the input jack is not ontop the body it is on the side of it.
