Trans Am is a series of solid-bodied electric guitars made in the shape of the legendary Firebird. As the majority of the catalog does, this Gibson-rooted six-string brings forth the heaviness and edginess Dean is known for since the seventies. The basic model of the series, named simply Trans Am,comes with a flat mahogany body and a C-shaped mahogany neck. DMT Series Equalizer in the bridge and Nostalgia in the neck position is one of the most common humbucker combos in Dean catalog. These two pickups bring a big, fat tone with massive sustain and fantastic clarity even in the low register. Two volume knobs, two tone knobs and a three-way toggle switch make up the controls. 33-fret fingerboard with block inlays and white binding is installed on top of the set-in neck.
