palomino series is dedicated to the production of the hollow-bodied electric guitars with arched tops and vintage styling. For 2013 it`s been updated with a pair of gorgeous single-cut guitars with vintage looks and tone. Palomino Deep Purple is one of them and it is named by it`s only color scheme, Deep Purple with glossy finish. Body is completely made of maple. Back, sides and arched top are all made of maple. Top panel is decorated with super elegant creme binding and a pair of bound "f" holes. To complete the theme, Dean installs a black pickguard made of plastic. It is elevated from the surface and it` matched with the black covers of the pickups. There are three single-coil pickups on this model. All three are P-90 fat pickups with soapbar casings. Controls unit for these bad boys is made up of master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch. Bridge section is a classic one, as it features a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and a trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Neck is made of maple and it features C contour in the back. It`s topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
