Korina is one of the most revered tonewoods throughout the industry. Along with swamp ash, it was the main body tonewood back in 1950s and early 1960s, up until mahogany and alder took over. The change happened mostly due to the affordability and supply difficulties. Korina almost entirely vanished from the scene and only occasionally appears, while the swamp ash still plays a significant role. Dave Mustaine Zero Korina is one of those rare models to feature korina in their construction. Entire Z-shaped body is made of it. Bridge section is a traditional one, it features a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction. Pickups combo includes a pair of Duncan Dave Mustaine Live Wire pickups. Neck is made of korina, as well and it`s topped with a 24-fret ebony neck.
