Since D`Angelico`s relaunch in 2011, Premier series has served as the introductory tier, offering brand`s most affordable models, both electric and acoustic. Despite the significantly lower price tags, Premier models still offer the tone, playability and build quality Excel and Deluxe series models have. Premier Grateful Dead DC is one of three Premier series signature models, along with Kurt Rosenwinkel SS and Bob Weir SS. It sports the "Grateful Dead Red, White & Blue" color scheme (w/chrome hardware, gloss finish). Main construction features include a double-cut semi-hollow body (laminated flame maple), C-shaped maple neck (glued to the body), and bound rosewood fingerboard (22 medium jumbo frets, 1.6875" PPS nut). Hardware & electronics section also features a two-piece hardtail bridge, Rotomatic Stairstep tuners, and D`Angelico humbuckers.
