KX5 FR TF rocks a series standard basswood/maple chassis - a carved basswood body against a Canadian maple neck. This means a balanced, warm tone with good clarity and less back strain as basswood is significantly lighter than some other prominent tonewoods. The neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with 12" radius, block inlays and locking nut.
Electronics section features a pair of high gain Motherbucker pickups. These humbuckers come passive and with a simple controls unit. Other major features include a licensed Floyd rose bridge and die-cast tuners.
