Cort`s EVL series offers some pretty cool and down to business metal axes. They`re also fun to play and pack a nasty "Extra Metal Growl" punch. Yes, that stands for EMG. EVL-K57B is a baritone guitar with a 27" scale, bolt-on neck construction and passive electronics. The body of this affordable seven-string is made of mahogany in its entirety. It is paired with a fast and comfortable neck made of hard Canadian maple. On top of the neck, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (jumbo frets, EVL inlays, 15-3/4" radius). Instead of the 81-7/85-7/707 bunch, Cort has opted for the passive HZ-H27 pups. Tone is a bit more articulate, though not as brutal as with classic EMGs. Other major features include a string-through tune-o-matic bridge and die-cast tuners.
