ML-1 Hot Rod is a part of the Chapman Guitars` Hot Rod series. It is the series` first and eponymous model. The concept resembles some of the classic Nuno Bettencourt Washburn axes, as well as single-pickup Superstrats made in the 80`s. ML-1 Hot Rod comes in with a solid and flat swamp ash body (two-piece body) and a bolt-on maple neck. The neck joint is a recessed one, completely omitting the classic neck plate. The neck is equipped with the Thin C profile in the back and is topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard. Seymour Duncan`s TB4 JB Trembucker with zebra coils is alone in the bridge position. 1000 series Floyd Rose locking tremolo bridge and Grover`s machine heads complete the specs list.
