AXL Guitars is one of the smaller, but strong manufacturers in the intermediate section of the market. Their models usually aim at players with a bit more experience than beginners, but are not yet professionals. Badwater is AXL`s claim to fame, as it became popular quickly after it`s release several years ago. Badwater contains models based on both the Fender and Gibson tradition. SE model, for example, has the Strat-like body made of alder. It is flat on top, contoured in the back and it`s equipped with a bolt-on neck joint. Badwater SE comes with a non-locking tremolo bridge largely similar to the ones found on Fender models. It is plated in distressed bronze and it is fronted with three pickups in HSS configuration. 21-fret rosewood fingerboard is installed on top of the maple neck.

I ' m sorry to point this out. My distressed white strat style AXL BADWATER is a BASSWOOD body. One of the meaning reason why I decided to buy that guitar was the ALDER body as declared on every website, the AXL website included. The guitar is made in Shanghai but you declare an ALDER body. It is BASSWOOD. WHY??????
