Sinsonido series is made up of three models, two nylon-stringed and one steel-stringed option. AS-101C and AS-101C/SPL have nylon strings, while the AS-101S is fit with steel strings. All models from this series feature the ultra modern hybrid concept, similar to Yamaha`s Silent Guitar series. There is no wooden body featured on Sinsonido (Spanish for without the sound) models, instead they have body contours made of composite materials. Neck on AS-101S is made of mahogany and it features headless construction. In it`s back, there is a slim contour and it`s top is equipped with a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Mahogany is also used for the central block of the body. It contains the electronics and behind it, right next to the body rim is the headstock (headstocks on these models are moved from their original positions in order to save space).
