Omen line of basses forms a significant unit in the Schecter catalog. The series offers budget-friendly metal-oriented bass guitars with a bit of up-scale appeal with carved top and stylish bindings. There are four and five stringers in both left and right handed versions. Omen 4 2012 is a new basic model of the line made for 2012 and it comes with a solid, double cutaway basswood body. the shape and a carved top bear strong resemblance with other Omen basses, as well as guitars. Black color with gloss and ivoroid binding, and walnut satin with black binding are the options available for this Omen. the bridge is Schecter`s own Diamond bass bridge with string-through construction and black chrome plating. The pickups are Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers in both bridge and middle positions. They are controlled through master volume, master blend and a two-band active equalizer. the neck is a standard one and made of maple with a six-bolt joint. The fingerboard on Omen 4 2012 is made of rosewood and sports 24 extra jumbo sized frets with semi-goth inlays. Other features include: 34" long scale, Schecter bass tuning machines and black chrome plated hardware.
