Schecter`s Hellraiser family of models now gets the Extreme bass division which consists of four and five string models. Instruments from this line have a lot in common with the guitars of the same name. Not only aesthetics, but also some technical features are shared with the guitar division. Hellraiser Extreme-4 Bass comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of mahogany back and quilted maple top. The top is carved and adorned with multi-ply mother-of-pearl bindings. There are no pickguards on this model. Color options match those available on Hellraiser guitars and are see-thru black, black cherry and 3-tone sunburst. The bridge is a Schecter Custom and it comes in two variants, a top-load or string-thru construction. Both options are plated with black chrome. The pickup combo on this model includes two EMG T35W active humbuckers with coil-splitting abilities. Controls are made up of separate volume knobs with push-pull switches and three-band EMG B64 active equalizer. the neck is made of multiple laminates of maple and walnut with neck-through construction and ultra access. the fingerboard is, as on upscale Hellraiser guitars, made of ebony and equipped with 24 extra jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl gothic cross inlays. 34" scale and Grover bass tuners complete the specs for Hellraiser Extreme-4 bass.
