AC50 is one of two currently available Kiesel acoustic-electric bass guitars. It is a five-string model, with the other (AC40) being a four-stringer. Unique double-cut design, neck-through-body construction, 24-fret fingerboard and 34" scale are among the stock AC series features. AC50 starts at reasonably affordable $1,149.00., $50 above the four-string variant. The specs list at starter level includes a semi-hollow mahogany body, AAA Engelman spruce sound board, mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard (medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, 14" radius). Numerous body, top, neck and fingerboard alternatives are available. Additionally, Kiesel offers customization options for hardware, electronics and inlay sections. Other stock features include a fixed ebony (acoustic) bridge, LR Baggs ribbon transducer (volume, bass & treble controls) and Carvin tuners.
