JS3VQM is the only five-stringed bass introduced by Jackson Guitars at this year`s NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. It is introduced into the same series as the JS3QM, the Concert series. Also, both basses are JS class, which indicates they`re made for budget-friendly portion of the market. JS3VQM comes with classic double-cut concert body, it`s solid, flat on the top and made of basswood back with quilted maple top. Body of this model is finished in gloss and equipped with anatomic contour in the back. Bridge section is equipped with a highmass bridge with five saddles and string-through-body construction. Bridge is black, as is the rest of the hardware. Jackson pickups for extended range basses are installed in the front. Pickups are passive and paired with a set of active controls. Both pickups have their own volume knobs and shared three-band equalizer. Neck on this model is made of maple and it features standard contour in the back. It is bolted to the body and topped with a standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Frets are jumbo-sized and marked with cool shark tooth inlays. JS3VQm has die-cast tuning machines installed on the headstock.
