Talman Bass series is one of the rising stars of Ibanez catalog. It is getting bigger and stronger and its lineup grows faster than a bamboo grove during the rain season. Though introduced relatively recently, Talman basses have taken the market by storm and are, judging by the novelties introduced at this year`s NAMM, fully intent on staying with us for a long time to come. Basically, Talman basses, just like their six-string counterparts, cater to players who like the idea of a modern sounding and modern playing instrument being hidden in a vintage-styled outfit. TMB100L is the only left-handed Talman bass introduced this year and it belongs to the regular Talman line. Just like its right-handed twin, TMB100L comes with a solid, flat-top mahogany body with a maple neck bolted onto it. The neck is attached through a standard four-bolt joint and features a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. 1.625" nut, 9.45" radius and medium-sized frets with dot inlays complete the fingerboard. Dynamix J in the bridge and Dynamix P in the middle position form a very interesting vintage/modern pickups combo. These bad boys can pull off everything and anything modern rock, blues, jazz and pop bassists might need. Also, they`re able to hold it together in heavier bands, as well. Simple four-saddled hardtail bridge and die-cast tuners complete the specs list.
