Ibanez Bass Workshop is a cross-series platform which offers boutique-level quality at affordable price. Vast majority of models are based on the SR range, with significant contributions from BTB series as well. Other major bass ranges only occasionally contribute a model or two. The new 2018 IBW lineup offers a trio of compound-scale SR models, marked SRMS (MS for multi-scale). SMS806 is trio`s six-string option. It is offered only in Brown Topaz Burst (gloss finish, black hardware, black plastics, natural binding). Main construction features include a solid and double-cut SR body (mahogany base, poplar burl top), a 5-piece jatoba/walnut neck, a 24-fret panga panga fingerboard (33.6"-35.5" scale, 2.16" nut, acrylic stripe inlays), a Monorail bridge, Bartolini`s BH2 pickups, and die-cast tuners.
