SR series is the main line of bass guitars which competes on the market under Ibanez flag. It`s been around for over 25 years and has given the world some of the most popular and most beloved bass guitars. Currently, it is divided into three divisions - standard (named only SR), SR Premium and SR Prestige. Standard SR has been completely overhauled for 2016 and the new SR800 is its new four-stringed king. With standard SR hardware and electronics, standard tonewoods and selected SR Premium`s decorations, SR800 aims at the very top of its price class. SR800 is a solid and double-cut bass guitar with a standard 34" scale, carved top and bolted neck. The body is made of mahogany base and poplar burl top (Ibanez`s new favorite body combo). Five-piece neck is made of jatoba and bubinga and has the standard SR4 profile, instead of the acclaimed Atlas (it remains reserved for Premium and Prestige models). 24-fret rosewood fingerboard sits on its top. Electronics unit is equipped with a pair of Bartolini`s MK-1 soapbar pickups and an extensive set of controls, enabling the player to cover pretty much entire field. Accu-cast B-300 bridge and die-cast tuners form the hardware section.
