SR range was introduced over twenty years ago, when Ibanez had felt need for a new, modern bass series which would address the needs of younger players. Sound Gear, or SR as we know it, has since grown into a giant, spanning all classes of the market and catering to players of virtually every genre and style of music. At 2016 NAMM show, Ibanez has introduced a multitude of regular, standard SR and SR Premium models. SR1300E was the most affordable Premium series four-stringer in the lineup. It is, just like the other 1300 models, available only in natural color with flat finish and gold-plated hardware. SR1300 kicks off with a very interesting tonewoods combo - a mahogany base with a split ash/walnut top. Ash and walnut top certainly make the new 1300 models recognizable and authentic. The neck is made of series standard five pieces of bubinga and wenge and has Atlas-5 profile in the back. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on its top features medium frets, abalone inlays, 1.50" nut and 12" radius. Nordstrand`s "Big Single" pickups with their extensive controls unit guarantee players absolute control over the tone. Gold-plated Monorail bridge and deluxe tuners (also gold-plated) keep this Premium class SR in perfect tune.
