GSR series offers low-cost alternatives to the world-wide popular SR (Sound Gear) series. Its GSRM division deals with short-scaled basses. These are made for children and electric guitar players who want a bass, but find regular basses too cumbersome.
GSRM20B, actually has a 28-3/5" baritone scale, some 2" shorter than the "regular" short bass scale. It has a solid mahogany body (flat-top SR style) and a bolt-on maple neck (unspecified back contour, though most probably a GSR profile). The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-sized frets, dot inlays, 1.5" string nut and 12" radius. Standard Ibanez J and P pickups fill the bridge and neck position. They offer a solid, robust tone (considering the size of the instrument). B10 bridge and die-cast tuners conclude the specs list.
