The mission of the BTB series is to offer the boutique quality at a reasonable and affordable price. This series is made for players who want to excel beyond the boundaries and confines of intermediate class instruments, but can not afford a full-fledged custom built bass. BTB7E is the latest entry into the series roster and, quite possibly, the best bass Ibanez has ever built. Supreme build quality, mind blowing versatility and a price tag well within the reach of the majority of a working player are strong arguments in BTB7E`s favor. Solid and double-cut body of this seven-stringed leviathan is made of maple wings and rosewood top, while the center is occupied by the 9-piece neck. On the top, Ibanez installs the Monorail bridge with seven completely independent saddles. CAP single-coil pickups are featured in the front. Two volume knobs, three-band equalizer (bass, mid and treble boost/cut knobs), pickup balancer knob and the EQ toggle switch comprise the controls. 9-piece neck is made of maple, rosewood and walnut laminates and has the characteristic BTB profile in the back. On it`s top, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Additional features include the extra long 35" scale (in order to accommodate the sixth and seventh string properly), locking output jack and a super deep cutaway.
