G6128 Thunder Jet is one of nine currently available electric basses made by Gretsch Guitars. This one is a single-cut four-stringer with a solid body, instead of the semi hollow and hollow styles, which are predominant in Gretsch catalog. Thunder Jet comes with a short, 30-1/2" scale, chrome hardware, glossy lacquer finish and four Sperzel bass tuning machines. Mahogany-made body is topped with a laminated maple cap and paired with a set in maple neck. On the top, there is a wooden-based roller bridge with a trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Pair of humbucking pickups is installed in the front and they feature the series (Jet series) standard set of controls. Maple neck is set in and topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
