EB Bass is an offspring of the legendary SG Bass and since it`s inception has attracted players who wanted strong and versatile instrument in their hands. Today, Gibson USA refreshes the EB concept and comes with a brand new model. New EB Bass offers more strength than ever and becomes an epitome of versatility with it`s coil splitting function. Body of this model is made with classic EB contour, it`s double cut, solid, sleek and it`s made of ash. Ash is known as one of the best options if a player wants open and strong tone. This bass has no top wood covers or binding, though the tortoise pickguard is present. Bridge section is equipped with a very interesting installment, it is a four-saddle Babicz bridge with top-load construction and chrome plating. In front of the bridge, Gibson installs a pair of full-sized humbuckers named DeCola. They come with Alnico V magnets, master tone and split volume knobs. Push-pull switches are mounted on these volume knobs. Maple neck has rounded profile and it`s attached to the body with a mortise & tenon joint. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 20 frets, dot position inlays, 12" radius and 1.60" wide corian nut. Hardware on this model is plated in chrome and it`s scale measures 34" in length. Color palette is equipped with a total of four options: Satin Fireburst, Satin Ebony, Satin Cream and Natural Satin. The MSRP for EB Bass is set at $1,999.
