Deluxe series, besides its famous electric guitar options, also offers a selection of standard-sized electric basses. While the guitar models of the Deluxe series always come with passive electronics, their four (and five)-stringed counterparts feature both the active and passive electronics equally.
2017 Deluxe Active P Bass Special comes in standard color options - 3-Color Sunburst, Olympic White, and Surf Pearl. All three options have unpainted headstocks, gloss polyurethane body finish, as well as hybrid nickel/chrome hardware. Core construction features include a solid alder body (flat top, classic P pickguard, contoured back), maple neck (C profile, four-bolt joint, large headstock), and 20-fret fingerboard (medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, 12" radius, 1.5" string nut).
Combined J/P pickups, HiMass bridge, and open-gear Fender tuners complete the specs list.
