Fender Custom Shop Master Built 1970s Jazz Bass Heavy Relic is one of the Custom Shop`s models with longest name and best example of what the heavy relic treatment means. Heavy relic models go through a heavy aging and wearing process after they`ve been built in order to look like instruments from 1950s, `60s, or `70s that have been played heavily over the decades. Such is the case with this 1970s Jazz Bass. It comes with a solid, double-cut Jazz body made of ash and a bolted neck made of maple (after alder/maple, this is the most popular combo). Vintage bridge with metal cover over it and a pair of vintage single-coils are installed on the top. 20-fret fingerboard made of African rosewood completes the specs.
