Tom Araya of Slayer fame is ESP`s most prominent and most popular bass artist, with a longest and strongest running series. For 2016, ESP and Tom have prepared some new models and Tom Araya FRX is the new flagship model. Tom Araya FRX is a solid and double-cut instrument with neck-through-body construction and 35" scale. Also, the body is heavily carved, in the FRX style. Wings of the body are made of alder and they`re glued onto a three-piece neck made of maple. Fast and slim neck is then topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with pentagram inlays and 1.57" graphite nut. Two EMG 35DC humbuckers, with a simple controls unit (volume, tone, balance), comprise the electronics section. Gotoh bridge and Gotoh tuners complete the list of major features.
