RB-1004SM is one of six models in the current RB series lineup. It is one of two four-string options with the other being 1004BM. As a member of LTD`s 1000 tier, 1004SM receives the best tonewoods and hardware LTD catalog has to offer. Accordingly, it costs a bit more than the regular 400 or 300 basses. RB-1004SM comes with a solid and double-cut body made of swamp ash base and spalted maple top. Five-piece maple/walnut neck is attached to the body. C-shaped neck is topped with a 22-fret maple fingerboard. Like the rest of the RB basses, 1004SM features a pair of passive Aguilar pickups - J in the bridge and P in the middle. They come with an active band EQ. Hipshot bridge and Grover tuners wrap the list of major features.
