Bass player of the legendary Jefferson Airplane, Jack Casady is also known for his fantastic tone and playing skills. Over the decades of career Casady has perfected both his technique and the instrument he plays. This resulted in collaboration with Epiphone for Jack Casady Signature Bass. Now, Epiphone and Jack bring us the Limited Edition Jack Casady Silverburst. this model comes with a semi-hollow body with double cutaway design. Construction-wise it features a set-in joint for the neck. Back and side panels of the body are made of laminated maple, while the top is made of maple. Top panel is arched and carved with a pair of "f" holes. Binding applied around it`s edges is done in white. Also, this model features an elevated black pickguard. Bridge section is equipped with a vintage solution, an adjustable three-point bridge with four top-load saddles. Bridge is plated in chrome. Pickups department features only one pickup and it is a JCB-1 low impedance humbucker. It is controlled through master volume, master tone and VariGain knob with which a player can dial in just as much gain as he or she wants. Neck is made of mahogany and it features a rounded '60s profile in the back. This neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and trapezoid inlays. Also, it features 12" radius and 1.6535" wide string nut. Tuners on this model are vintage-styled die-cast clover ones. Scale measures at 34" of length.
