GA series features grand auditorium shaped guitars with fully acoustic construction. This series, as well as all other series in Taylor catalog has an extensive set of compulsory appointments, which must be featured on every model of the series. Some of these include non-cutaway grand auditorium bodies, Taylor tuners and combination of satin and gloss finish over natural colored bodies. GA6 is a model situated in the GA series and it comes with all of these appointments. Back and side panels of the body are made of mahogany, while the top is made of cedar. In the bridge section, Taylor installs a regular shaped bridge made of ebony. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with an ebony fingerboard. 20 frets, dot inlays and 1.75" wide TUSQ nut complete the fingerboard specs.
