RD-227 belongs to the Torch series of vintage-styled acoustic guitars made by Recording King. This particular model comes with a non-cutaway body made of rosewood and spruce. Rosewood is found on the sides and in the back, while the spruce makes up the sound board on top. This model is vintage styled and richly decorated. several layers of white and abalone binding are accompanied by tortoise shell pickguard and multiple rosette with central ring made of abalone. Natural is the only color scheme assigned to this dread and it comes with gloss finish. Bridge section features one of two installments of ebony. The bridge sports a standard RK contour. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with a regular 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
